Day 160, January 16th, 2010
It was pretty warm in the night, back to throwing off the blankets not adding!!! Windy though, out of the south east.
We seem to be having a bit of a problem with the refrigerator system. It is meant to cycle, turning on and off as required. However, the motor seems to be on all the time when the weather is warm. This drains the batteries and leaves John concerned. We run the little generator for hours at a time and often put the engine on for short periods as well, in order to keep the batteries from getting too low. The solar panel works when the sun is shining but thats not all the time. Anyway, using Herman's wire, John installed a cooling fan beside the compressor for the fridge. Hopefully this will help but did not seem to have immediate results. We will watch and see.
This afternoon we've spent in the library, catching up to date with e-mails and banking etc.
When we get back to the boat we may consider moving over to a more sheltered anchorage. All is well though!
