Day 222, March 20th, 2010
I'd had that itchy feeling since Pea Soup left to get moving again, but it was so sad to say goodbye to Marathon. We certainly had some fun there and met so many wonderful people.
As we pulled out of the harbour, it seemed as if every view had a memory. We shall miss it!
We left about 10:00 a.m. and motor sailed to Lignum Vitae Key. John was at the helm while I finished a good book! It was a beautiful day with the sun shining and a good wind. Just as we were coming around the 7 mile bridge John saw 2 sea turtles swimming. He called out each time but I missed them both! But I did see two dolphins a distance behind us! It always seems so special when we see the wildlife!
We arrived around 4:00 hoping to pick up one of two mooring buoys at Lignumvitae but both were taken. However, the weather forecast was good with winds out of the east and south east, so we dropped the anchor with no worries. I went for a quick reconnoitre in the dinghy and then we had supper and John trounced me at Dominoes! A good day.
