Seafood Festival

Day 215, March 13th, 2010

The Seafood Festival is an annual event. All the fishermen in the region get together for a fund raiser. The proceeds go to a list of the local charities. They sell an enormous amount of lobster, fish, conch, crab - you name it. Its all good. In addition to the seafood there are all kinds of local businesses that set up booths - arts and crafts, clothing, real estate, boat yards, all sorts. The Relay for Life Team had a booth selling various bits and John and I helped out between 12:00 and 1:00p.m. before walking around and having something to eat. It was a good time. There were bands too, playing at the amphitheatre, that went on well into the evening. (We didn't stay for that part but could hear the music very well from the mooring.)
