Middle River

Day 230, March 30th, 2010

Woke up to clear blue skies and no humidity! A pleasant day motoring up the ICW to Middle River. Back to the lovely anchorage we had visited going south.

After lunch we found a good little beach to tie up the dinghy and walked across the road to a lovely mall. I found a nice dress in Macy's! A lovely mall with all kinds of lovely shops! All I need now is accessories!!
Pics: Fort Lauderdale docks with cruise ship on right, far left there's a container ship being turned around in the channel by two tugs. The picture of the dinghy is interesting. There was a grandpa and his grandson with a black lab. in a "Carolina Skiff". The contraption on the side of the boat is a swim platform for the dog. They lower it into the water and the dog can jump out of the boat, onto the platform and jump easily into the water. Getting out of the water was just as easy for him. He was an 8 month old pup. He will be trained as a seeing eye dog, their 2nd. The boy threw a ball into the water and the dog swam to retrieve. We only saw him do it twice - the grandpa said he thought the dog was tired as he'd run all morning!
