Day 57, September 28th, 2009
Another day of much the same - more trees, more debris, more barges, sweeping current.
Ellie Jane said goodbye to us at Little Diversion and went onto the Ohio River and Metropolis.
That was a bit too far for us slowpokes so we went on to an anchorage called Boston Bar.
John did most of the driving which left me to finish another James A. Michener novel - "Mexico", having already got thro' "South Africa" and "Texas". A bit dry at times but interesting anyway.
Boston Bar was meant to have good depth. Twice 's Nice beat us in there and inched forward with their shallow draft. We just managed to get in behind them, tucked in out of the channel with 2ft beneath us. It wasn't long before another motor cruiser arrived and then a little power cat. called "Whiskers". I tried a bit of catfishing from the boat but again, no success!!!
